Subscription Terms & Cancellation Policy

At Root & Route Coffee, our subscription service is designed to deliver rare, freshly roasted single-origin coffees directly to your door with complete convenience and control.

1. How to Manage Your Subscription (Self-Service Portal)

You have total control over your recurring orders without needing to contact support.

With your session logged in, simply go to the Subscriptions section in your account to manage your preferences:

  • Swap or Add Products: Change bean origins (e.g., switch from Colombia to Ethiopia) or add extra bags.

  • Skip a Delivery: Pause an upcoming order if you are traveling or away from home.

  • Update Details: Change your shipping address, payment method, or delivery frequency.

  • Cancel Subscription: Unlocks automatically after fulfilling your initial commitment.

2. Minimum Commitment & Cancellation Eligibility

To maintain the exclusive pricing and direct-from-roaster fulfillment of our specialty lots, all subscriptions require a minimum commitment of three (3) successfully billed and processed orders.

  • Cancellation Eligibility: The option to fully cancel your subscription will become active in your portal after your third (3rd) completed billing cycle.

  • Multi-Item Subscriptions: If your subscription profile includes multiple products (e.g., two or three bags of coffee per shipment), the cancellation requirement remains tied to three (3) full billing cycles, regardless of the number of items per order.

3. Skipping Orders vs. Minimum Commitment

  • Travel & Breaks: If you are traveling, you may use the portal to skip an upcoming delivery without being charged.

  • Impact on Cancellation: Skipping an order pauses that specific cycle and charge, but it does not count toward the completion of your three (3) required billing cycles needed for full cancellation.

4. Product Swapping & Customization

  • Explore New Origins: You are never locked into a single bean variety. Use the "Swap Product" option in your subscription portal to switch origins or update your quantity before your next billing date.

  • Price Adjustments: Any price difference between coffee lots will automatically update on your next scheduled charge.
